Meet Vanessa
Vanessa discovered OULA magic in the fall of 2011 at Montana State University after stumbling into a class during free group fitness week at the gym. She was instantly hooked – the music, the movement, the ability to let yourself go free and sing while still getting a good workout captured her. As someone who always felt “not good enough,” to be into fitness, OULA’s message of “it’s all about how you feel, and not about how you look,” resonated with her body and soul.
Vanessa was certified in October 2014, days before she packed up her bags and moved to Los Angeles. She didn’t stop there - she became certified in OULA-Power in June 2015, and in the newest yoga-fusion format, Oula. One, in May 2017. She credits a huge part of her success as a young professional in the film industry to OULA – the ability to stay consistent, to reach out to others, and to be vulnerable. OULA has given her a community that celebrates others’ unique life perspectives, while dancing free of judgement and focusing on creating fulfilling relationships wherever she goes. She always reminds participants that OULA is an hour for them – to dance, to process, to have fun, to be silly, and to know that they are always in a safe space whether it’s to cry or to shake your booty! |
