Kathryn digs dancing. It’s her joy, her power, and her connection to life and people. She grew up in the classical ballet studio, which left a lot of goodness and also did some damage. When she found OULA in 2012, she began the slow journey of unraveling the mess and becoming free, strong, healthy, and GOOFY. Kathryn’s classes are loud, unapologetic, dancey, sweaty, fearless, and grateful for each second. The lights are low, and once the music starts, it doesn’t stop. There’s room for every single person to have the blast they want to have, working hard, just bopping along, or anything in between. Singing and yelling are highly encouraged.
In addition to having taught popular OULA classes in Seattle for almost 6 years, and having been a professional dance instructor since 1990, Kathryn is also a trained massage therapist and ACE-certified personal trainer. In her mid-40’s, and having weathered many injuries and life phases, she is always happy to help with ideas for injury prevention, alignment, and increased fitness.
**Kathryn works in the tech sector by day and has a bit of a habit of doing as she pleases, so be sure to check the calendar as her classes pop up (or down) around her work and travel schedule – but the fun is worth the extra effort!!
